Where have I been? I am, posting again about why I haven't been posting. The answer in the end is that Blue is poor. Not like third world country poor or something, but since I have become a college student my funds have gone down severely. Now, this wouldn't seem like that extreme of a thing...if it weren't compounded by the fact that I have used up all of the remaining pages in my sketchbook, and have run out of .5 mechanical pencil lead (or at least had run out until earlier today.) My supplies are running low, and things that happen in my life that are actually funny, even lower.

This affects the current story line for only one reason. If I am not laughing inside, I cannot make something where others will laugh. I mean, I can produce something and I'll think "Woah. That was funny." but there will be no humor at all, because it was just moderately amusing which is a level better than my average day.

I also have lost track of where I was going with the dark duo plot. I think I'm going to have some sort of summery of what happened where everyone escaped unharmed montage sort of thing. You know what I'm talking about. You've seen them before. You know the ones where I sort of got lazy and suddenly there is a page of plot hole filler and life returns to normal. You know what I'm talking about.

Anyway, I need to get something ready for my usual Valintines Day thing, because that is what really kicked Brainstrain off. The Valintines strips...oh man...those are always awesome, because as you all know, I am a hopeless romantic, who is apparently terribly romantic, but still never gets the girl (for more on that visit my journal on Gaia. I'm sure if you look through it you'll find about a million posts of me venting and crying about how random girl doesn't like me, and that's always funny, isn't it?)

Anyway, normally you would think that the guy who wants the girl more than anything and yet never gets the girl would have a negative view on this holiday to celebrate romance and love (Oh I assure you, my viewpoint is plenty negative enough.) and that it might be reflected in art or comics that they produce, but the fact that I am just so horrible at winning over the girls makes me want to produce even more touching, and sometimes humorous romance stories for Valintines day. Blue doesn't always get the girl either, but then again, it doesn't always matter if you get the girl in the end.

Now. For one final public service announcement. Chance is absolutely awesome in every way. Go look at his comic now. Like this page:
How about that hunky guy in the 6th panel eh? Yeah. I bet he gets all of the girls. He looks really familiar though...I just can't place him. Oh well. Anyone who isn't Chance and is a fan of my comic should definitely go watch Chance's comic. It's hilarious, and awesome, and is actually updated on a regular basis.
